I'm banking mid-to-late 50's....which would put him in his "later 40's"....

He got the gig with Zappa in April '78. If he was mid-20s then he'd be 50 or older and he replaced Bozzio, who was born in 1950. I've looked through a whole year of birthdays in MD and Vinnie isn't listed; maybe he's keeping that a secret too.

I'm guessing since him and Steve Smith attended college together they are more than likely the same age: probably late 40s.

Yeah, he was early or early-mid 20's when he got Zapped...Weckl will be 44 this Jan., & I think the ole' Vinmeister is just within a few yrs older[?]...say around '47-8...
